After obtaining a Master degree in Bioengineering from the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne, I wanted to direct my career towards a more entrepreneurial direction and in particular in the management of new technologies. During my Master’s project at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California, I had the chance to experience the vibrant and fascinating atmosphere of the start up hub that is the Silicon Valley; thus increasing my enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Passionate about innovation and technology, creative and motivated, my project is to integrate swissnex’s team-the Swiss scientific consulate based in Boston-as a junior project manager for a 6-month Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. Swissnex is an initiative of the Swiss government, whose mission is to actively contribute to strengthening Switzerland’s leadership as a global center of excellence in science, education and innovation. My mission, in particular, will be to support and advise Swiss start-ups from different backgrounds in order to help them develop in the United States’ market. Therefor, it is with great enthusiasm that I will undertake this 6-month internship at swissnex beginning March 2017, thanks to the generosity and support of the Hubert Tuor Foundation.
I am very grateful to the Hubert Tuor Foundation for its support to young people, whose projects are innovative, ambitious and original. It is in this spirit of support, excellence and philanthropy that I hope to be an active ambassador of the Tuor Foundation who generously awarded me a scholarship to encourage my project at swissnex. It is in this spirit of support and generosity that I pledge to actively support the foundation and to collaborate with its 2day 4 2morrow fellows on future projects with the goal of forming a strong and sustainable philanthropic network.
I am very grateful to swissnex and the Hubert Tuor Foundation for this wonderful adventure that will be very enriching both culturally and educationally and undoubtedly decisive in the choice of my future career. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
